Farid Ahmad is a prominent leader within the automotive industry. He started his career in the early 80s in automotive retail in the UK. He graduated from the NADA Dealer's Academy a decade later, after having run multiple dealerships, before establishing a successful recruitment agency in Canada. In 2012, after receiving numerous requests from his clients, Farid started the company known today as DSMA (Dealer Solutions Mergers & Acquisitions DSMA) - the largest automotive M&A firm in the world.

Widely regarded as an expert in his field, Farid is a highly sought out speaker for panels in the automotive sector and for industry giants such as Chrysler and Porsche. He has made a name for himself and is regular seen speaking for dealers associations, on TV and in other industries around the world like law firms, accounting associations, and banks.

He has won many reputable awards, including being the recipient of the 2023 Notable Champion of Diversity Award by Automotive News. His company, DSMA, was recognized by the 2023 Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies for the third consecutive year.

Today, DSMA has nearly 60 team members and operates throughout North America and now breaking into Europe. Farid with his partners operate DSMA, QUOTUS™, and multiple businesses, including spearheading the growth of the first electric truck company called VMC.

Farid is passionate about giving back and believes that the true measure of a company's success lies not just in its profits but in the positive change it can bring to the world. He supports many local charities and global organizations like The Hope of Life International.

Farid leads his professional and personal life fearlessly and with fervor. He is considered a friend by his partners and employees. He is a true family man and is a proud husband and father to two sons.
