USA Central/West Gary Swartz has held leadership positions in automotive dealerships throughout his 35-year career. He learned the retail automotive business by working in every department on his way to becoming general manager in 1989, president and partner of a Chevrolet/Cadillac dealership which was part of a multi-franchised group in 1991. His franchise experience includes Mercedes, Ford, CJDR, Porsche, Toyota, and Lexus.
Gary is in a unique position having worked closely with multiple OMEs and having firsthand experience of the emotional and financial complexities that a dealer works through in a buy/sell environment.
Having achieved President of Marketing Association for Cadillac, member of the General Motors brand team responsible for product design, President of the bay area Cadillac Dealer Association, along with his support of numerous charities and a long-standing member of Rotary International coupled with his hands on experience of day-to-day operations within the dealership setting provides him with the insight necessary to work through difficult challenges that dealers face in the ever-changing automotive industry today.
