Job Description

DSMA is looking for a professional and experienced Sales Assistant to support 2 critical growth areas of the business: Global Development and QUOTUS, our new SaaS product.

The objective of Global Development is to establish relationships with National Accounts (large Dealer Groups) across Canada the US and beyond.  Global Developments primary goal is to cultivate large deals, specialize in group re-alignment and facilitate cross border transactions.

QUOTUS is a new-to-market automotive data analysis tool that uses aggregated new car dealership data to generate brand specific M&A and Operational benchmark KPI data.

The right candidate must be open to travel and be prepared to work in a home/office hybrid role with at least 2 days a week at our Markham ON headquarters.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess strong skills in developing and following Action Plans
  • Have event planning capabilities (and experience, preferred).

 

Key Sales Assistant Tasks:

CRM Management

  • Maintain schedule of communications with Global clients and QUOTUS clients
  • Ensure all client “touches” are reported in CRM
  • Keeping CRM deals and targets up to date
  • Constantly update client profile and information in CRM.

Deal files

  • Maintain Deal files with all contracts and key documents
  • Develop ideal timelines for each deal file and constantly follow up with Global Dev Director in each Deal.

Event Planning (approximately one event per quarter)

  • Book venues
  • Work with Marketing to promote event
  • Send invitations
  • Keep constant communication with invitees.

Reporting

  • Keep KPI and Metrics reporting up to date for weekly report out to Ownership
  • Assess and develop key KPI’s that represent activity and progress in Global Dev dept.
  • Assist in revenue forecasts, which are based on 12 month rolling averages.

Research

  • Research potential clients and influencers in Automotive industry
  • Research Organization charts of clients and targets
  • Follow news, press releases and investor relations calls with clients and targets.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following experience:

  • Background in Sales or Business Operations
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Have worked with CRM’s in a previous role
  • Have a working knowledge of database administration.

Candidates must have a working knowledge of the following IT programs:

  • Outlook
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Word
